LIP is the Portuguese High Energy Physics research laboratory. It participates in large scientific research projects such as the CERN Large Hadron Collider experiments,
and in international distributed computing infrastructures European Grid Initiative, Iberian Grid Initiative, or the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid. It has a technical coordination role in the operation of the Portuguese National Grid Initiative.
LIP role is focused in the long-term preservation of both data and processes applied to scientific data analysis. iIn TIMBUS, LIP will work in a use case of such scenarios in the context of High Energy Physics scientific data analysis.
