Applying the TIMBUS Approach to Preserving Context in Digital Libraries

The workshop will discuss the move from data-oriented preservation to process-oriented preservation. One aim of the workshop is to show the problems regarding current approaches to business preservation. Whereas up to now the main concern was to capture the business data (e.g., databases and logs), the paradigm is shifting to understanding the underlying business processes and to preserve the complete surrounding environment.

How to Register for the Tutorial

• Go to the iPres 2014 Registration page: http://ipres2014.org/registration and choose your registration type (from Australia or International)

• Choose the ticket type for either 'Full Registration or 'Workshops ONLY'

• Separate registration must be done for the workshop, but this is FREE
